Listed bellow (in the alphabetical order by the authors’ last names) are some of the books that I find useful for understanding addictive behaviours, psychological, social and cultural contexts in which they develop, and promising avenues for overcoming them and growing as human beings beyond them. These books—and many others, of course—have significantly shaped my own views on human nature and, particularly, human potential and also influenced in some ways, conscious and unconscious, how I practice counselling and psychotherapy.
